Interview with Dr Carla Albrecht - Every fifth clinician on the verge of burnout? Bavarian survey: Those who do not have a managerial position are more at risk

Is every fifth doctor working in a clinic threatened by burnout? At least this is what a study suggests, which took place in the federal state of Bavaria in 2013 and whose core results are Dr. Carla Albrecht from the Faculty of Psychology and Education at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich just in Psychotherapy in dialogue and published it in book form [1;2]. "In hospitals, it is actually those specialists who are not in a managerial position who are most at risk," she says in an interview with Medscape and further: "Regardless of the hierarchical level, there are people who have a higher risk due to their characteristics - this is where prevention programmes could start."
