"Borderline Personality Disorder - Inpatient Transference-Focused Psychotherapy".

Borderline personality disorder is one of the most difficult disorders to treat. Although treatment should primarily take place on an outpatient basis, many of those affected are found in inpatient contexts. For this setting, this volume presents treatment options based on the disorder-oriented and evidence-based method of Transference-Focused Psychotherapy (TFP).

The volume deals in detail with inpatient treatment and highlights central aspects in a practical way, such as diagnostics and therapy agreements, treatment phases, therapy focus and working in an interdisciplinary team. Furthermore, relevant comorbidities and specific complications (e.g. suicidality, acting out) are addressed. Chapters on supervision and effectiveness round off this volume, which also offers outpatient professionals valuable suggestions for the treatment of this challenging patient group.

DevelopmentPsychodynamic Counselling in Organisations

Thomas Giernalczyk and Heidi Möller briefly and compactly describe central working principles of psychodynamic counselling and show how these can be applied in various counselling formats such as coaching, team

development and strategy counselling. Psychodynamic counselling relies on the healthy, interested, development-oriented ego part of the clients. Through descriptions, interpretations and stories, a new view of the organisation is made available. This then often enables a developmental step in the system being counseled.

Organisational cultures in feature films

Organisational cultures are diverse and dazzling - so it's no wonder that in numerous feature films the most diverse forms of organisation form the exciting, sometimes scary backdrop: from banks to monasteries, schools, "hip" start-ups to administrations, the mafia or the film industry itself. Wouldn't we like to take a look behind the scenes? And is it the same in real life as it is in the movies? - This book is on the one hand a textbook and reader on organisational cultures, for it conveys important concepts of organisational culture through the analyses of a variety of gripping films and a rich repertoire of possibilities of understanding and approaches to interpretation that can be applied to well-known organisations.

Supervision in psychotherapy

Practising psychotherapists use supervision throughout their professional life as an instrument for quality assurance of their work. Working as a supervisor represents a separate area of competence that requires special training. The book provides an overview of the current state of supervision and intervision research and offers methodological training in questions of supervision design. Different methods of supervision are presented in a differentiated way, following a cross-school concept, and their respective areas of application are discussed.

Psychoanalysis in Organisations: Introduction to Psychodynamic Organisational Counselling

Freud's work on cultural theory and "mass psychology", his fundamental insights into behaviour in groups and the unconscious relationship between leadership and followers have prepared the ground for a highly fruitful engagement of psychoanalysis with the dynamics and counselling of individuals, groups and organisations. This introductory textbook shows how coaching, supervision and organisational counselling as psychodynamic counselling contribute to greater understanding and scope for action within organisations.

Business Psychology: Managerial Failure and Derailment

The article examines derailment phenomena from a psychodynamic perspective with the help of two case studies. Case 1 describes the behaviour of an ambitious managing director who, disregarding the primary risk, brings his company into a dangerous predicament. Case 2 describes the micropolitical tactics of a division manager and typical psychodynamic and systemic conditions that enable serious wrong business decisions.

Diagnostics in coaching

Diagnostic competence and the implementation of systematic diagnostics are named as central factors of effectiveness in coaching today. From a psychodynamic point of view, the analysis of countertransference and the coach's self-reflection are important building blocks for determining the client's initial situation and generating working hypotheses. This approach is complemented by scenic understanding, analysis of the triad of person-role-organisation and psychodynamically oriented questionnaires on personality and leadership styles.
